Back Up With Safety and Confidence. Learn About BAK-TALK™ Today!
Learn how Moms, Dads, Seniors, and New Drivers can ALL drive more safely with BAK-TALK™, the world's only voice assisted reversing sensor with precision Sonar Technology.
It's no surprise that driving is getting more complicated every day. There are more cars on the road than ever. The streets are getting more crowded. The parking spots are getting narrower. Even the parking meters are closer together! It's harder than ever to maneuver your car, truck, minivan or SUV. Older cars can be very large, and newer cars have such limited visibility out the back, that it may only be a matter of time before you back into something -- something that is fragile or precious to you. Not only can the repair bills for your car be expensive, just think for a moment about what other damage you might cause:
It's no wonder that clever people came up with a device like BAK-TALK. It's the world's only vehicle reversing sensor with a Voice Indicator AND Sonar Technology. Here's what it does. The moment you shift your car into reverse, the BAK-TALK unit goes to work. It makes a small beep just to let you know it's on the job, and it immediately begins scanning the area behind your car -- up to 8 feet. BAK-TALK blankets the area behind your car with a sonar signal and listens thousands of times every second for a response. The moment it detects something -- anything, it starts to talk to you.
So, If you can listen, you can use BAK-TALK. Want to try it? Listen now by clicking Play: BAK-TALK Works In Almost Any SituationIt doesn't matter if your car is moving, or something is moving towards your car, so long as you are in reverse, BAK-TALK is on the job. Even if you are perfectly still, BAK-TALK will report that something is in your way. Other technologies may not work as well unless you are moving, and then it can be too late. In hot weather, including direct sunlight, BAK-TALK can help you drive more safely when there is glare in your back window or rear view mirror. In the rain, BAK-TALK's sonar technology continues to monitor the blind spot behind your car. That's why the Navy uses sonar on its billion dollar submarines, too. In cold weather, ice and snow, BAK-TALK is still hard at work. It's sonar technology is not affected by falling snow or the cold weather. Why Reversing Aids Might Be Required By LawThere is currently legislation circulating in Washington and in some state capitals requiring that reversing aids be required in all new cars. Many car manufacturers are already providing them as an option on high end cars. Here's why. Many new cars have limited visibility out the back window. The styling of these cars is very trendy, with high rear ends and small windows, and they look great. But the visibility out the back is extremely poor. You'll find this design trend on many late model coupes and sedans. SUVs and Pickup trucks have particularly poor visibility. Sure, you can see out the back, but your visibility of the ground begins 15 to 45 feet away from the back of your car. That leaves a tremendously large blind spot where people, packages, and play toys can hide. Where Reversing Aids Can Help
What Kind of Vehicles Will BAK-TALK Work On?New Cars need a reversing aid because so many of them are designed with low fronts, low driver seating positions, high back ends, and small rear windows. This combination looks great in the showroom and on the road, but not from inside the car, where visibility out the back is very limited, and almost non-existent. Here's an example: About.com reviewed the Mitsubishi Eclipse and said of the 2006 sport coupe "Visibility out the front and sides is great. Out the rear, however, it's practically non-existent." They went on to wonder ". . . how those of us without psychic powers are supposed to park this car." The same can be said about many new cars. Maybe even yours. Older Cars, with their extremely long rear ends and wide track are also particularly difficult to back up safely. In particular, older domestic cars like Ford, Lincoln, Cadillac, Buick, Oldsmobile, and Chevrolet have in the past had design elements that have resulted in the cars being referred lovingly (and critically) as "boats". In cars like this, the rear wheels are so far from the corners of the cars, that the back end literally swings from side to side when a turn is made. That makes gauging the distance between your car and the next when in reverse very difficult. Sport Utility Vehicles of all kinds stand higher up than sedans and coupes. They have high rear doors or hatches, and windows so small (and frequently tinted) that SUVs on average have the worst visibility of any car on the road. Consumer's Union did a study of the blind spots behind cars, trucks, and SUVS and found that the Chevy Avalance drivers can't see anything on the ground within 50 feet of the back of their car. Minivan drivers sit lower than SUV drivers, but the rear ends are as high or higher. There's also the likelihood of active children and other distractions in the car along with you. That makes backing up in a minivan that much more challenging and dangerous. Convertibles and sports cars might seem to have great visibility - and they do when the top is down. But when the top is up, the often small windows, which are often made of less-than-clear flexible plastic, interfere with visibility out the back. Who Uses BAK-TALK?Reversing Aids (also known as Backup Sensors) can help any driver be more safe, help to avoid damage and injury to property, and help to keep loved ones outside your car safer. Many Seniors are less agile than they used to be. Those who are still safe to drive will be more confident, and drive more safely when in tight situations. Shopping center traffic can be fast and dangerous, and it's all too easy to back into a loose cart or light pole. Osteoporosis, poor posture, and other height issues may make it more difficult for a senior driver shorter to see easily out the back of the car. If a senior driver is still safe to drive, she'll be safer with BAK-TALK to help her. Soccer Moms and Dads with SUVs and Minivans full of kids often find themselves backing out of parking spaces at sports fields, schools, and shopping centers. Kids in the car can be a distraction, and reduce or eliminate visibility. Kids in the home mean toys in the driveway, bicycles on nearby streets, and children all around. Increase your knowledge of what's around you with BAK-TALK. New drivers, such as teenagers, are notorious for fender benders. Insurance rates go up with each and every small claim you make. Help make your young drivers more safe by letting BAK-TALK help them in new tight situations. Business People who are in their car visiting clients and making deliveries use BAK-TALK to make parking quicker, saving time between appointments. Parallel parking is a breeze with BAK-TALK. Delivery drivers in vehicles such as bob-tail trucks, pickups, delivery vans, and other commercial vehicles back up more frequently than many of us. And visibility out the back is ZERO because there frequently is no rear window. BAK-TALK helps to prevent accidents and gets the driver on his way faster. RV Drivers use BAK-TALK to make backing up trailers, motorhomes and campers a trivial task. No more asking someone to jump out of the car to guide you in. Now, Bak-Tak can help. You! It's time you added BAK-TALK to your car, truck, or SUV, isn't it? Drive with added confidence and safety. Each time you put your car into reverse, BAK-TALK springs into action, alerting you of any obstacles in your way. Protect your car. Protect your property. Protect your family.
