1. The accuracy of the system and the effective working distance of the system are directly influenced by both the surface of the target and the reflective characteristic of the target.
2. If the target “obstacle” is a flat surface that inclines at an angle to the sensor, or a triangular obstacle where the sensor is pointing toward one corner of this triangle, the resulting reading from this sensor may be inaccurate due to this angular positioning. This may result in a non-detection signal. Drivers in these situations should pay more attention while moving their vehicles.
